I don't know which is more difficult, teaching an old dog new tricks or teaching a new (young) dog old tricks. I am learning that if I am to keep up with the ever changing world of technology I must expand (stretch to the point of bursting) my capabilities. But how much is too much? You can't put new wine in old wineskins, Luke 5:37, but we must put off the "old man" and put on the "new" Ephesians 4:22-24. Then again old habits are hard to break.
For me as you can tell by my picture, I'm the "old skin" and I must be careful lest I burst. But for youth lessons of the old must be taught. God's Word is old, forever settled in heaven Psalm 119:89, but His mercies are new each and everyday, Lamentations 3:22-23.
Let's be careful not to get stuck in our "oldness or newness."
